I've used floatation therapy for a while, but to have it alongside the Infrared Sauna and Ice Bath in a private room is amazing

FAQ
-
What is flotation therapy?Flotation therapy is a highly effective method for stress relief and relaxation. It involves floating in water saturated with 250kg of Epsom salt, making the water incredibly buoyant. The water is heated to skin temperature (35.5°C), creating a sensation where you can't distinguish between body parts in contact with the water. This sensory deprivation can heighten your senses, making for an amazing experience.
-
How often should I float? While you can float every day without harm, we find that the relaxing effects of a 45m float typically last beyond that day. For best results, we recommend regular sessions, and many clients find that floating once a week provides the most benefits.
-
What will it be like for me?We don’t know what it will be like for you since it is such an individual experience. Nearly every customer reports having profound peace and relaxation, deep concentration and creativity. We like to avoid saying too much before people use the tank, so that they aren’t influenced by what someone else says. Not only will it be different for you than it is for anyone else, it will be different each time
-
How should I prepare for a floatation session? To prepare for a floatation session, it's important to relax beforehand. Avoid shaving right before your session to prevent discomfort from salt water. Remove your contacts and avoid caffeine as it may interfere with relaxation. If it's your time of the month, consider rescheduling for a more comfortable experience.

What are the benefits of flotation therapy?Flotation therapy offers numerous benefits, including significant reduction in chronic pain, faster recovery from physical exercise, and improved sleep patterns. It promotes recovery from injuries, reduces swelling, increases endorphin production, lowers blood pressure, and improves circulation. Additionally, it energizes the body, clears the mind, accelerates learning, heightens senses, and is effective in combating addiction and depression.

What is Infrared Heat?Simply stated, infrared is a light wave next to the color red on the electromagnetic spectrum that is invisible to the human eye but felt as heat. In fact, you’ve likely come in contact with infrared before since it is commonly used in incubators for newborns, heat lamps and toasters. As you can imagine, your sauna session at Float Fire & ICE will be a gentle, peaceful one that leaves you feeling relaxed and renewed.
-
What does it feel like?Warm, cozy and relaxed – how does that sound? That’s what the first portion of your treatment will feel like. During the last 10 minutes, your sweating and heart rate will increase though your comfort level will remain.
